ORIGO: GENUINELY HANDCRAFTED HIGH-PASTRY PRODUCTS. OUR CREATIONS ARE BORN FROM EXCELLENT RAW MATERIALS, CRAFTSMANSHIP MASTERY, AND ATTENTION TO THE SMALLEST DETAIL.

ORIGO is first and foremost a beautiful family story, the shared dream of two brothers, Federico and Lorenzo, to create high-quality artisanal pastry in line with the recognized gastronomic excellence of their region. Both have significant educational and professional experiences in both Italy and France. For the past four years, they have been the owners of a highly esteemed pastry shop in Fidenza (Parma). 

Federico, after many years of studying in the gastronomy sector and specializing in pastry, attends the prestigious Luca Montersino Academy in Torino, where he learns from some of the most important names in not only Italian pastry. There, he meets the master pastry chef Giorilli, who instills in him a love for sourdough (live mother yeast) leavening and large leavened products.

After graduating in computer science, Lorenzo works in the industry for a few years before deciding to pursue his lifelong passion and dedicate himself to pastry. He specializes particularly in the technique of balancing ice creams without the use of semi-finished products. He has obtained various certifications, including the “Carpigiani Gelato University” certificate for an advanced gelato course.

OUR PLACES

We are in Emilia, in the Fidenza and Salsomaggiore area, the westernmost part of the province of Parma. A journey in these lands is also a journey through excellent products that taste of ancient knowledge and a deep relationship with the land and nature. Creativity maintains a strong and respectful connection with tradition, which is evident in the constant search for a balanced blend of the new and the gastronomic heritage that is a fundamental part of the identity of this territory and its people.
